Thrive For Life Welcomes the New Interns!

This summer, four teens from Regis High School joined Thrive For Life as summer interns, helping out in various capacities at both our office in Xavier High School and at our house of studies. Regis High School is one of our cherished high school partners on the Upper East Side that aims to transform Catholic young men both intellectually and spiritually. Bob, one of our interns, said that he loves Thrive For Life’s mission. “I know firsthand how powerful and transformational education is, and that’s why I feel that making this gift available to everyone is of the utmost importance to me.”

So far, our interns have worked in various roles. Often they start their week at Xavier, helping Duvan and Vincenzo enter and organize data vital to our mission. Later in the week, they head uptown to our house of studies where they help renovate the house and prepare it for future residents. On Thursdays, our entire team first meets for Mass led by Fr. Zach F. Presutti, SJ before breaking off into staff meetings.

At our House of Studies, our interns have been able to connect with the residents as well as the larger community of the neighborhood. “Everyone at the House is welcoming and caring for each other. It’s clear that the people here are family to each other,” notes Evan, another one of our interns. We wish them all the best of luck as they continue to grow with us!
