Broadening Our Reach in Brooklyn and Queens

Thrive For Life has remained hard at work ramping up our engagement of more and more parishes throughout the Diocese of Brooklyn—covering parishes throughout the New York City boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens. Back in March, we launched our very first retreat for families affected by incarceration at Our Lady of Sorrows in Corona, Queens. Over 300+ folks gathered to listen to powerful stories of transformation and unite in prayer for our brothers and sisters behind the walls. Given the great success of this and the demand for more, Pablo and his team have been working tirelessly to get the word out to more parishes in communities affected by incarceration. Since this highly successful retreat, Thrive For Life has exponentially increased our visibility, with over 200+ new prospective faith community partners throughout the diocese. Millions of families, parishioners, and worshipers in one of the most diverse dioceses in the nation now are in our orbit, giving us unparalleled access to folks with loved ones behind the walls who we can accompany beyond the walls. This is the first time we have managed to foster this many relationships with faith communities in our short history that we hope will bear much fruit.
