Ignacio House
The housing crisis in New York City is especially intense for men and women reentering after years of incarceration. Moving from the deplorable conditions of a prison cell to an overcrowded shelter is not responsible or sustainable.
The answer is to provide a holistic continuity of care for this vulnerable population. Through Ignacio House, we will provide transitional and supportive living for those just coming out of jail or prison who are engaged in studies, followed by access to affordable, permanent housing.
