First Spiritual Retreat Behind the Walls in Milwaukee!

Finding purpose.

This March marks a pivotal moment for Thrive For Life as we continue our mission to transform lives behind and beyond the prison walls in the state of Wisconsin! Emulating our successful New York model, we are bringing quality, meditative resources for an examined life, deeply rooted in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, to our incarcerated brothers at Racine Correctional Institution. We are very excited to be hosting the first of these retreats in collaboration with our faith community partners this month!

Under the guidance of Fr. Zach, with the tremendous help of Prof. Wendy Volz Daniels, these retreats will offer a space for reflection, spiritual growth, and discernment of a deeper sense of purpose. This all comes as we continue our planning to launch the first house of studies in Milwaukee for our returning brothers continuing the good work of education. As we look to this autumn in eager anticipation of the house’s launch, these retreats will play an important role in building relationships and community behind the walls as we plant the seeds of transformation.

Our journey to this milestone has been supported by many, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to former State Corrections Secretary Kevin Carr whose backing has been instrumental in bringing our vision to life, enabling us to reach out and touch the lives of many more individuals. As we embark on this new chapter in Wisconsin, we invite you to join us in celebrating this major milestone. Together, we continue to forge paths of transformation for our brothers coming home from incarceration.
